Ive read a lot of different views on this, if the battery ratings are identical some say it doesnt need coding but its a bit of a grey area. If the fault has happened since the battery change id certainly look into getting it coded as that seems the most logical solution.

Im not a fan of glass fuel bowls in engine bays, i think id try and upgrade it if i could I know they have been around for years but it still scares me.

I would guess a roof re paint in our current climate to be near £500. Used to be around £300 before the world went mad.

Its not uncommon for the clamping bolt holes to fill full of crap too when cleaning out, the bolt then bottoms out before tightening introducing more issues.

Id agree, the surface has to be prepped well even for wrapping. In my experience the rust will always return unless done properly which it very rarely it is.

A horrid job this, id try and remove as much caked on crap from around the injector before removing it. Compressed air is handy to blow it out if you have use of it, an old vacuum cleaner too. I wouldnt go too mad attacking it with anything aggressive.

Could well be the latest spec stuff which is 508.00 so worth checking. Not sure on the differences, maybe the viscosity.

Just stick a new motor in it, not worth messing about with it.

Just buy a quality one, Bosch seem to be the best in my experience but the Halfords own should be ok.

It's never a bad idea to get the wheel alignment checked really but in reality most won't bother. Maybe consider it when you go for new tyres.

I Think id only be comfortable buying from someone that has a return in x amount of days if not happy. You always seem to miss something on an initial inspection, sometimes paint quality can be disguised with certain polishes which is a bit ott but im particular about bodywork condition.

Just look at similar cars for sale really, you will get an idea of current prices. Prices are silly but people are still buying.

If it were in good clean working condition with a fresh mot I'd say its worth £1500. Still a popular car in estate form. Hard to know what to do really, clutch job seems high at £1100. Maybe stick it on ebay as is and hope the bidding reaches a decent sum.

Sounds normal to me if close to battery voltage. The glow plug light flashing usually points to another issue so I'd code read it first.

Thanks, I've ordered some more plastic/metal fittings now but I fitted the above coupler with some more ptfe and it's done the job.
