    I have energy saving bulb in our bedroom and it does take about 2 seconds to come on and then it's quite dull for about 20 seconds afer until it warms up, think this is pretty normal.

    The usual shed installation question

    I'm not a sparky..yet but think you need some saddles supporting the conduit at regualr spaces (not sure on the distance reqd between each one). Also on your first pic I think you need to support your swa (cleat etc) But looks pretty neat for me, might be worried about the shower mounting...

    IMHO for the prices of the relevent courses etc you'd be better making friends with a local sparky. Dont mean to be negative but was hoping to start a 36week city & guilds course at night school and that was £900 then there's another 36 week course after that also costing £900ish and then...

    Does anybody know what cable clips BT would use to fix cable to exteror wall, I'd like black but can't find any black 4.5mm ones anywhere. Any ideas? Also where my virgin media cable comes thorugh my wall the installers have used some sort off grommet and I would like to use something similar...

    I've just bought that NTE5 and yes the cable I bought was black originally for the reason that white looks crap though but glad I did now. Thanks for all the help guys, just hope I dont fall off the bloody ladder now! lol :lol:

    It may have been misunderstood what cable I mean so I have posted a couple of photos. The cable I need to replace comes from the box on the left in the photo and looks like bell wire, it didnt have any steel in it when i cut it. Intend to replace with black 6CW telephone wire.

    Hi all, Our house used to have a phone line installed but when we decorated I cut it off outside where it comes down my outside wall because I had cable and the phone came trough that instead. I wish I hadn't now though because we are leaving cable shortly and need a traditional line again...
