    EV or PRV problem?

Dont know where these valves are, so no danger of me touching them :D . Thanks guys for the heads up on that one. When I do it I'm going to bleed the radiators, screw down auto air vent, drain boiler with the PRV, fit new PRV, then re- pressurise to 1 1/4 BAR ( as suggested in a previous post)...

    EV or PRV problem?

There is no water leaking anywhere within the boiler or the pipework directly underneath. TBH I'm a total novice at this and dont know where the isolation valves are!

Tried it, but it didn't work for me unfortunately.

    EV or PRV problem?

Thats great. Ill give it a whirl when I get the part. I know where the auto air vent is, but when you say screw it down- is there a screw to turn on it or something?

    EV or PRV problem?

Thanks again. The instructions with my boiler tell me to 'drain the central heating circuit' - that means just the boiler then and not the whole lot including radiators?

    EV or PRV problem?

It was your advice on filling the EV whilst holding the PRV open that seems to have done the trick ( so far so good anyway). Thanks a lot for your help. Have you any experience in fitting a new PRV? The part looks easy to fit- (one side threaded and the other a push fit), but its more the...

    EV or PRV problem?

Okay, I had another go at pressurising the EV. This time I held the PRV open whilst I pumped some air in ( .8 Bar). The water pressure stayed at zero this time. Now the system is running well, going from 1 1/4 cold up to 1 3/4 Hot. The PRV is still dripping though. Can someone tell me the...

    EV or PRV problem?

Actually, it is dripping all the time- about 1 drip every 5 seconds when cold. It's only about a tenner for a new PRV- is the procedure for fitting quite straightforward?

    EV or PRV problem?

Thank you for your help. If the PRV is faulty, will there be a drip all the time, or only when the heating is on? At the moment it drips whilst it is on, but not when off and cool.

    EV or PRV problem?

I have identified the pipes that are beneath my system. They are, from left to right -CH flow, DHW out, Gas inlet, mains cold water in and CH return. The CH flow and the Mains cold water in are linked together by a flexy pipe. Is the one I need to drain the CH Flow?

    EV or PRV problem?

Okay thanks. There is a flexible hose that links two of the pipes beneath my boiler. One of the pipes fills it up, so Im guessing the other is the return which I could use to drain the boiler.....

    EV or PRV problem?

Do you know if a drain cock is usually fitted inside a boiler, or on the pipework somewhere?

    EV or PRV problem?

Any idea where a drain valve is on this system? The only thing I can see with a tap on is on a flexible pipe that loops between two copper pipes- that fills it up though :?

    EV or PRV problem?

What I forgot to put was that after testing the EV for the second time and finding hardly any air in it, I operated the PRV to remove the water pressure before pumping up for a second time. I know that you shouldn't operate the PRV, but as its been opening all the time to releave the pressure I...

    EV or PRV problem?

Oops, no I didn't open any drain valve  What should be my next step? ( apart from calling a plumber!)

    EV or PRV problem?

I have had a problem losing pressure from my combi boiler system - I have to top it up on a daily basis. I have a Worcester 24i RSF. When the pressure rises There has been water coming out of the PRV pipe outside of the house ( this doesn't happen when the system is cold) I have checked my...
