That sounds to me like it is the central locking mechanism has packed up. Very common problem on the focus. That is assuming it is a Mk1/1.5 1998-2004

phil87 and mrfordfocus Your problem is with one of the door lock switches. As to which one it is a bit of a guessing game I'm afraid. Saying that I think there is a way of getting the vehicle into test mode and you can find out that way.

I don't fully understand your question. You state that your 2 rear doors lock when you push the lock button on the key, as do your boot and 2 front doors, but then you go on to say it won't lock manually using the drivers door lock. Are you having problems with it locking or not? :?

When I try to turn off my bathroom hot sink tap I find that it turns off relatively easy most of the way but then the last bit it seems to get stuck and a lot more force is needed to actually finish turning the tap off. The cold one does it too but not as bad. Is there a repair for it or...

Tried the machine again with no luck :( Whipped the pump out and took it to a local spares place who sold me another one (brand new) for £25 which I didn't think was too bad. Put the new pump in and wholah! We now have a working washing machine. Thank you once again rocks1

When I was cleaning everything I had the pump out and it was all wired up etc etc. If I am honest it does appear to be ommiting(sp) a slight burning smell but I am led to believe most pumps and motors do. What do you mean by an open circuit??

No the water does not pump out. It just sits there, waste pipe is deff clear. filter and pump all seems to be clear. I had a quick look inside the pump and all seems to be OK.
