soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

Hay, i have all the stuff ready for the job i hope, i have a question, in the Gulley, there is a black insert sleeve, it makes the gulley narrow at the top, do i have to leave that inside? or can i take it out?? as i don't want to take the chance of it blocking, i'm going to put the riser on top...

soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

Hi Hugh, thanks, really appreciate it, i can't do anything till Wednesday anyway, as that's when the Gulley should be here, i have had my rubber coupling adaptors through, today, and my rest bend and air vent for the top of the pipe yesterday, i know, Royal Mail delivering on a Sunday, fair play...

soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

Hi Hugh, ok, i'll order one of them now, what i intend to do is expose what's there first, see the setup, and post on here for you to take a look if you don't mind, i saw that these bottle gulleys are only small, like 7.5 inches, my old gulley is 19.5 from top to bottom, so i will need a riser...

soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

Hay Hugh, i don't think that Gulley i put here will be any good, as it has two sockets, my Rest bend has two sockets, my 45s have one socket haha is this a better option, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110mm-Underground-Drainage-Bends-Junctions-Gullies-Bulk-Discounts/392313896256?var=661303458083...

soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

Hi Hugh, yes i am, i bought the pipe to put the Bath waste straight into the stack, it will look much as well with it gone, and don't know how hard it will be to add another Gulley, but as there is already one there, i'd probably want to put another one in it's place, just to be on the safe...

soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

Hi Hugh, 1 have checked this out, when i leave the bath water running from the upstairs into this gully, none of the water we can see runs into either manhole, so it is blind as you say, a neighbour has gone into their gully, can i ask what we would have to do, to do this? thanks

soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

Hhahah, i can't believe how stupid i am sometimes Chris, i amaze myself at times, and yes i don't think they will, so it means adding pipe plus couplers? unless they do them socket less? then just couplers, another thing is as well, i can't put the inlets at the opposite ends, as where they are...

soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

Thanks Hugh, the chamber Chris posted, i don't understand how it connects up to the pipe work? as i have a straight through pipe from end to end, the holes on that shallow chamber are in different places, so i'm not understanding how i connect the pipework up for it to run how it should? also i...

soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

I'm not sure myself what goes where, i know when we pulled the flush, and lifted the covers when the guy first come here,no water flowed from the toilet into any of them, but we didn't check the bath water, to see if that did, we do know from the sink, when we run the water, we can see the water...

soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

Hi Hugh Jaleak, yes the hopper is going, i'm connecting the bath water pipe, what normally goes into the Hopper, into the new pipe with a boss 40mm connector, so it will make that drain redundant, so if i fill the bath up, and then let the water out, and pop the manhole covers and see if it's...

soil pipe connection for new upstairs toilet

Hi Johnny, i think i understand that, i was just speaking to my brother, and mentioned it, had a good idea, he said check to see if any of the neighbours have done it, and to my left side of the house, i took this picture, i can only assume that they have done an upstairs toilet too, i should be...
