Water Coming out of vent pipe

The boiler is actually staying on for a while now so I think the fernox f3 has at least cleared some sludge out of the boiler in the past 3 days. I am still having banging and gurgling in the pipes. I plan to leave it in for a week, then drain, mains flush with a hose and refill, then repeat...

Water Coming out of vent pipe

Can someone tell me if fernox f3 just loosens all the sludge and scale or if it breaks it down so that it can easily be drained? After 3 days of fernox the boiler is staying on and not clunking. But will the sludge have just moved elsewhere or does it get broken up or dissolved. thanks.

Water Coming out of vent pipe

What is the best way for me to remove this gunk from the system? If there was that much in the feeder tank can I expect there to be loads more in all the pipes and air separator? I want to try and flush the system tomorrow or sunday but I don't know where the best place would be to insert the...

Water Coming out of vent pipe

Not sure what's in the cleaner as I'm at work. Trust me I'd love a new system. But just bought the flat recently and I'm on a seriously tight budget. It would take about 18 months to save for new system. so I really need to keep this relic going a while longer! do you recommend trying...

Water Coming out of vent pipe

Does anyone think using a hose to flush with mains water would help. If yes, where would I connect hose and where to drain? I want to try and get the flow pipe from boiler that goes under the floor then into airing cupboard. I have 2 small bleeding points on top of boiler, one on flow one on...

Water Coming out of vent pipe

Ok so today I bought a system cleaner. I drained the system, then before refilling I decided to check the small tank. Oh my goodness it had so much gunk in it. Lots of flaky bits, about an inch deep covering most of the floor of the tank, see pic. So anyway I cleaned it out as best as I...

Water Coming out of vent pipe

Just tried the magnet and it didn't stick. The flow pipe from boiler goes under the floor then about 3 metre along before re appearing at the airing cupboard. Could this lower section be where the blockage might be? As the system was drained a few months ago when replacing 3 port valve. But...

Water Coming out of vent pipe

I have taken a pic but its a bit hard to see. The flow from boiler comes in to the air separator. The vent pipe goes straight up from the separator. The other side of the separator (going towards pump) has a feed coming from small tank a couple of inches along, from below. If you look in...

Water Coming out of vent pipe

Hi, My boiler is currently cutting out after a minute or so. It starts banging and sputtering and throwing water out of the vent pipe. System - Gloworm fuelsaver 35f, hot water cylinder, 3 port valve, grundfos pump, 4 rads. So I'm thinking a couple of things; 1 - Air lock, but no air is...
