    Anyone know of a straight radiator valve with drain off??

    mate you can get the lockshiled valves with drain off from any plumb center or grahams etc. Looks kie you might get away with the clearance. you could always use an angled valve with drain off and elbow back wouldnt look to bad as it's so low and because of style or if you dont have laminate...

    Worcester vs. Viessmann

    worcester are easier to fit and the new ones seem to be very reliable and valiant are good for repairs as there alot easier to dismantle(personally). some engineers just dont like leaving there comfort zone. Surely this just loses them jobs ? personally dont understand it.

    Just work it out if you do the maths you might have to go of the meter with the larger pipe if not then great.

    not the best place to put one but put some foil on to make sure but it will be fine seen loads under worktops/breakfast bar and seen no ill side effect.

    it all depends what is on the gas route if you have say a fire and a cooker then a boiler you need to work out there gas needs and make sure you carry enough gas to the boiler etc. thats why it's best leaving it to someone who knows what there doing you could end up over/under gasing other...

    you dont need to shut anything off on combi it's already off you just fill system back up from filling loop when finished. If you want to make sure the cold feed isnt blocked drain a little from system and if f&e tanks runs then you know it's not blocked. i would say there is are in the system...

    Fitting new combi boiler using existing single pipe system

    i have fitted 2 combi's on one pipe in last 2 weeks and they both worked fine but chris had it right that it's not recommended and i also didnt recommend it but customers choice :roll:

    if i was you i would speak to the water board they can sometimes turn up the pressure.

    Look at all the radiators down stairs and see if there are any drain off if not crack the rad valve and drain until system is empty. filling loop is only used to fill system back up ( if the rad is down stairs and on a drop then draining from else where will not drain that rad just drain from...

    combi is filled by external or internal filiing loops no need to turn mains of just fill system back up when done to required pressure(1-1.5 bar) Dont know why you would think it was a blockage on a pipe due to noise i would start with the obvious and bleed the pump. hope this helps a little...
