    Does that not count as a double row? I think the strip of slate showing is a larger 'double width' slate if that makes sense.

    Yes, damp patches were appearing on both stacks at that end of the room.     Hi Tony, I thought this also so I checked it and it looks fine. All new lead work, re-pointed, doesn't look like this is the cause of the problem. Could water be getting in further up the stack and channeling down? Makes no sense.
