I see you have used Grey as CPC and black as neutral, although sleeved G/Y and blue, I always use Black as CPC and grey as neutral,sleeved of course. Black was to be Disassociated with neutral.

From what you say you have switched the 12v supply, so there is no switch or means of isolation on the 230v...

No requirement with rewires, new dwellings only but, not in a worse position than they currently are.
If you do install at the prescribed heights it's 450mm to lower edge of sockets and 1200 to upper edge of light switches
