    OAP Triathlon-ing

Missed this Odds, sorry. Yep, still in the game and just about to stitch the 3 disciplines together. Bike down to 50 mins for 20k; run down to 32:47. I'll sharpen the swim (my strength) shortly. Been running 3 months having done couch to 5k. Hoping for under 2 hours on the day. Doing a 'super...

    BREAKING: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor arrested

Hi powered KC on the radio reckons misconduct in public office is very hard to prove, so we'll see. He was talking about Mandy not Randy at the time. Police may be being seen to do the right thing.

If Britons tried imposing their culture in China...

Why is this the slightest problem in the 'city that never sleeps'?

    Sorry, but this is important.

A woman is a person who feels the need to put a hand over her drink when Trump, Farage, Andy, Lowe, Vance, Musk et al enters the bar.

Things you've turned down that might have changed your life.

As a retired, 'career educator', I reflect on the opportunities that might have been open to me had I not wasted my secondary education. I just didn't/wasn't willing to do the work. I still regret it, and have used the story to try and encourage others as what not to do.

    Sorry, but this is important.

As a 30+ years schoolie, I'd love to know which charities are 'recruiting' children for anything in schools.

Should there be a general election when Starmer gets booted?

158 seat majority? I don't see the reason for the OP's question.

    High Court Rules...

What terrorist act did PA perpetrate? Damaged RAF aircraft? The alleged sledge hammer incident? They are criminal acts with more than enough common law remedies. They should never have been proscribed.

McAlpine 110mm push fit AAV question.

I've fitted one of these today- there are no instructions. It was a one for one swop out. Question: (the 'lid' can screw open, and theres an arrow on the cap showing 'open) Should the cap be screwed down tight; or slightly open to admit air? Thanks

    It's over..who will take over ?

What exactly was supposed to be 'over' on the 4th Feb when this tread started? Reform's runaway polling maybe? GB News' semblance of a news outlet? What?

    Winter Olympic

I was saddened by the fall, but... should she really have raced? After that, I was hooked on the heli rescue techniques employed. I have been a winchman in another life, and we would NEVER lift a patient that way, hundreds of feet in the air. I believe I know why... the helicopters employed use...

    Meteoradar precipitation pink

Also, at appropriately low temps, 10mm precipitated water will make 100mm of snow. When the presenter says '10 cms of snow in 2 hours', that's 1 cm of precipitation in 2 hours. 1:10 is a rule of thumb. Also also, 1cm of precipitation (rain) can deliver from 5 to 20 cm of snow depending on the...

    Carney nails it.

I watched it- really seemed like whistling in the dark from my POV. On another site, someone commented their pension fund had offloaded 100m in uS treasury bonds because, 'US is not a reliable market at present'. Five mins later another poster reported a letter in the mail today, not as blunt...
