    New Front Door Gone Wrong

Thank you for your reply. The top light is not level on the horizontal. The door closes ok but is a bit stiff when opening/closing. I agree that it will never look completely level when the canopy is off plumb. But I do not believe that the top light should be sloping in the opposite direction...

No - the new work is off with a spirit level. The fan light as shown in the picture is off just as much as the existing canopy of the building. I think the point that is important is that the fan light slopes down the other way - which would suggest to me that it’s not the fault of the...

    New Front Door Gone Wrong

What I don’t understand is that the canopy slopes downward from left to right, slightly. And the fan light (top glass panel) slopes down the other way from right to left. Am I missing something here, but given that the canopy goes down from left to right, shouldn’t the fan light also slope...

Only bottom photo is of how door is fitted now. Canopy is slightly off - a few mil, going slightly down from left to right.

    New Front Door Gone Wrong

I am having a disaster with a company who are fitting a new composite front door with side and top panels. There was no door in place here before, so they measured up for a bespoke door and panels to be made and then fitted. The first fitting was a disaster (as per the photos - cracked panels...
