Drainage contractor - should I pay, or ask for compensation?

I know where it came from  I think my problem was, as he said after, the equipment he was using was not suitable for the job. This was also demonstrated by the fact that his colleagues arrived with correct equipment and did the job in 15 minutes with no mess. Thanks. We are at the end of...

Drainage contractor - should I pay, or ask for compensation?

Interestingly when the domestic team arrived, they had it sorted with no mess at all, as they had the thinner jet which was able to clear the blockage. I did pay, as they did the job. They also cleaned up after their colleague too. I'll contact the company to provide feedback and go through the...

Drainage contractor - should I pay, or ask for compensation?

Hi all, We have a blocked gully to where the washing machine empties and softener overflow enters. I got a specialist drain unblocking company to come and unblock it. Replacing a soakaway - pool of water

Thanks. The rainwater from the rest of the property goes to a surface water drain. My original plan was to hook up to that. It's only about 8m from the rubble soakaway. Thanks for confirming a soakaway is a non- starter - I think I would have tried to persever otherwise!

Replacing a soakaway - pool of water

I am in the process of replacing a rubble soakaway and have a 1m2 plastic crate system to install. This will take water from a garage and conservatory roof (current soakaway only takes from conservatory with the garage filling a water but and overflowing on to the garden. I have started digging...

    Decommissioning/removing old soakaway

Thanks for replies (y) Is there a particular reason why diverting to the surface water sewer would be a bad idea? I hadn't thought of doing that. May I ask, what's the benefit to renewing the soakaway in this instance, rather than going straight to the surface water sewer?

    Decommissioning/removing old soakaway

Good afternoon everyone. We have an old (30+ years) soakaway coming off a conservatory that no longer works and our garden floods in heavy rain. We have access to the surface water drainage system and wish to divert to that, removing the need for the gravel soakaway. It is constructed of gravel...
