It apperas slightly weaker than red when it's switched off, about the same when it's on.

In the living room it is, not kitchen - the living room is connected up. Should I disconnect that switch for now?

I might have got that last part wrong, the black in the switch appears to glow whether it's on or off. Nothing on the ceiling on the two other blacks, when I touch the earth, whether or not the switch is on or off.

Great. I posted earlier but basically yes when I touch the earth on the wall switch I got no glow. On the ceiling the two blacks which glowed (Slightly) no longer glow when I touch an earth, the black which didn't glow does when I touch the earth.

Hi Johnny, Appreciate your advice, I will look into buying one, though it's a hike for me to go get one right now, and I'd be keen to get this one light finished.

Also tried in the ceiling, and when I touch the earth the one which didn't glow now glows, and the two which did glow now don't. If I don't touch the earth then this is reversed (i.e. the two which don't now glow, and one that did glow doesn't).

OK tried it at the switch and yes you're right, when I touch the earth then I get no glow on black.

Not 100% clear. I've taken black out of kitchen switch, and all three blacks are seperate in ceiling, with all reds connected. Black and red both still glow at swicth. two of three blacks glow in kitchen ceiling.

yep it does, as does the black in that switch also.

Both still glow after removing black from kitchen switch. One other light downstairs in hall, if that helps.
