Does that mean a wire could be snapped further up into the celling or do I need to use insulation tape?

The other light off the same switch works fine. But that light has two of every wire. If the earth wire is touching bare off plasterboard would that effect it?

Hi, I switched lights from normal single lights to a small 3 light unit. Upstairs light is fine and so is one of the downstairs lights. I thought that maybe the 3rd unit/light was faulty so I put back on the old one, and now that's not even working, ill take a pic. I don't know what I've done wrong.
