I will take one when I re-visit next week It‘s got the following to it: 2 core & earth, red & black, from the supply 3 core & earth, red, blue & yellow linking to the other switch which I have successfully continuity tested

That’s good to know, I did think the light switches I have originally suggested were correct I am going over lots of guides to understand where to connect the terminals on the light switches and between the 2 lights

Yes the guy I’m helping has been adding all sorts of cables and connectors over several decades without realising he has made lots of spurs all daisy chaining from the ring main so I am disconnecting all of them and starting a fresh
