Setting a Pressure Reducer Valve on a maxiflo-fed power shower

Thankyou. This is what I thought, but I'm no plumber - it just seemed the logical thing. Good to have a second (experienced!) opinion to give me reassurance.

Setting a Pressure Reducer Valve on a maxiflo-fed power shower

Thankyou. Given the max pressure of the shower is 1.0 bar, should I try and set the PRV pressure at 1.0 bar (or say 0.7ish to be safe) with flow or static ? I'm unsure why there are 2x PRVs. Maybe precautionary incase the cold supply ever went too high - I don't know. The guy fitted them and...

Setting a Pressure Reducer Valve on a maxiflo-fed power shower

Hello forum, Background to problem: I used to have a gravity fed hot water tank, and hence had an Aqualisa power shower. However about 5 years ago, I had the regular hot water tank changed for a maxiflo system. To avoid the power shower needing to be replaced (due to the increased water...

    Insulation of Portakabin

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge or experience on the best/cheapest way to insulate a portakabin building which I use as my office. It's 30ft x 8ft and is ridiculously cold in there. It's a fairly old cabin, and has single glazed windows and as far as I know there is no...

    Garamatic 9 Electric Garage Door

Thanks for the reply Andy. I'll give that a go. I hadn't done so yet as I thought switching A to off would affect other things, as Figure 16.1 also shows something where A is required to be ON (although other switches are also required to be ON too, and the diagram suggests this command is also...

    Garamatic 9 Electric Garage Door

Hello all, I have a quick query about a setting on a Garamatic 9 electric garage door opener. I figured this forum would be more suitable than the Windows/Doors one but if it's not, admin feel free to move it. When we press the open or close button on the remote, the door takes 3-4 seconds...

    Hive System Incorrect Wiring

No the valve is working fine as the CH is working ok it's just that it only works when we ask for the HW to come on. It's definitely something to do with the wiring on the backplate - which I believe is a new one fitted yesterday with the Hive system. Cheers

    Hive System Incorrect Wiring

Thanks for the reply. The previous system was the British Gas MyHome system which is the previous version of The Hive and did the same thing (reason we had it changed as the software on it wasn't brilliant and they offered to upgrade it for us). It would work in the same way as this one should...

    Hive System Incorrect Wiring

Hi, sorry I wasn't clear - on my last sentence what I mean was whilst the system isn't working properly we currently have to turn the heating on and off manually and our room stat (or thermostat whichever is the correct term) won't control the temperature either so we can't leave the heating on...
