I had a similar problem back in 2005 and I posted on here and was told that the pcb was a common fault. Back then I removed the boiler fan and plugged it into a plug socket with a lead and span it up. It ran fine so I re-fitted it and all my problems went away.

Hi, can anyone help I awoke this morning to find my electric is tripped. The cause seems to be my boiler its a potterton suprima 50L. It trips the rcd as soon as i switch it on. Can anyone point me in the right direction or if there are any common faults I should be aware of. Thanks Bry
