Could just be air in the system left in there from the original fill up. You could have missed venting it out the first time.

I really need to up my prices. Fitted a stadium 100cm2 vent last week, £80 supplied and fitted. There will be some form of benifit loan to pay for this. Get a gas engineer to give you a written quote and get him to put a side note on there stating the importance of this vent for the customer.

Could be a plumbing issue. The vent, inlet and pump should be within 150mm and be in that order. Vent Inlet Pump. Check the system has been installed with this method. Air could be getting drawn down the vent in to the system if its plumbed in wrong.
