I promise you this is not a windup!! The 24v link has def been removed.

When the fault is alive and clear, the engineer has traced the fault to a live feed at the orange wire using a multi meter - hence the change of heat actuators. Others have checked the wiring box, programmer wiring, thermostat wiring, cylinder wiring, boiler cable - all appears to be okay.

Def no picture hung up or anything at all for that matter nailed into the walls. No electrical work at all. Nothing. Nada.

Hi. I’ll post a pic from the Vaillant installation booklet (the Vaillant engineer pointed this out to me and confirmed this is how the boiler has been installed. I just can’t wait for this nightmare to be solved...

Yes - apologies i didn’t explain it properly. Vaillant engineer checked how the boiler has been wired up (wires inside the boiler near the pcb). You are correct - he did not check the wiring in the junction box/valves etc.

Thank you Dilalio. I’m stumped - as even Vaillant, the boiler manufacturer has confirmed that the installation is fine. I will post the full details of the fault when it’s found!

I fully agree with you re: wiring centre If I knew what I was doing with a multi meter I’d have a prod around myself.

The wiring in the junction box has been checked and all is in the correct terminals - think it should be all be unwired and re-wired. Each time the engineers have traced the ‘live’ feed in the orange wire in the heating valve - hence all the actuator changes. It’s a case of tracing back the live...

The pump runs constantly and fires the boiler up every 15 mins or so

Apologies if I'm incorrect here. The wiring box in the wiring cupboard says Myson on it, and has a 10 junction white plastic 'thingy' where all the wires are wired in.

The fuse is the fuse spur is def 3 amp. Nobody touched the wires/junction box until the first time we had this problem on 31 October. The heating valve was changed and everything ran fine until 21 November until the same pump running constantly issue started.
