Is my water tank plumbed in upside down?

Im not sure about the pipe being 22mm i will need to measure it. There is only about 1 meter between the top boiler pipe and the bottom cylinder pipe. They are in line with each other so no distance horizontally. Oh and i would forget about swithching the feeds if you gave me other ideas...

Is my water tank plumbed in upside down?

So what do you suggest i do to fix the problem? The boiler itself has an inbuilt thermostat. Its like a thin wire connected to the top of the heat exchanger. This wire then runns down to the thermostat situated next to the timer and controlls. Even if i was to adapt the pipework for the...

    Central Heating Pump

Hi. The other problem in my other post is only when running the hot water and not the rads. Anyway do you have any clues as to where the pump may be installed. i.e is it usually at ground level or could it even be up in the loft? Im guessing its near radiators. Will it be miles away from the...

Is my water tank plumbed in upside down?

First i will explain the problem. I have a standard gas boiler that runs the radiators and hot water. The radiators have always ran fine. However the indirect water system has issues. When heating the water the system will heat and heat until the water boils and has no other option to rise up...

    Central Heating Pump

Ive not used my radiators for a couple of months now. I went to put them on the other day and it seems that my pump has seized. It spun for a few seconds then jammed. However the wire for the pump seems to disapear under the floorboads of the next room and i dont fancy pulling up the carpet and...

    De-scaling hot water cylinder

Hi there. Im having problems with my hot water as i belive the hot water cylinder is scaled up badly. I was thinking i could just add some descaler to the tank via the emersion hole, leave for 24 hours then flush the lot out and allow the tank to re fill. Is this a good or bad idea?

    Problems with the hot water.

Yeah i noticed that when i did an internet search. Scary stuff! Got a call from the boiler people today. They are re-visiting to add a chemical de-scaler to the system as its making a kettling noise.

    Problems with the hot water.

Thanks Joe. Another guy came out yesterday. He cleaned out the boiler and said it should be ok now. But to be honest i think its just the same. We do get hot water but not much and id like it hotter. Plus it takes about 3 or 4 hours for it to heat up again once used. The water cylinder...

    Problems with the hot water.

Hi. Ive just moved into a new property and nearly everything went to plan. However there are problems with the central heating. The system is a Thorn Olympic gas boiler with hot water cylinder and header tank upstairs. The radiators come on and work a treat. However the hot water is not...
