Actually this is what I will do so it won't cause confusion in the future with killing the socket if the fridge freezer is switch off from the FCU (defrosting etc). Thanks for your help. (y)

Many thanks for the quick reply. Can I connect the new T&E directly in to the load terminals in the FCU along with the existing wires from the fridge freezer?
