    The wires from the lights are all 1m each so the transformer can sit in a position where all wires can easily reach it. Its just how to connect them to the transformer, and how to connect the transformer to the mains thats confusing.

    thanks that helps. Another quick addition... what about avoiding cables already behind there and of course avoiding the studs themselves... pick up a stud detector I presume is the easiest ?
