I am just fitting loft insulation over the bedroom ceiling I put up yesterday.
Should I pat the insulation down or just leave it fluffed up ?
Also the back pointing of the slates is all falling out.
Should I repoint this with lime cement ? or is there a better product to use ?
If it has to...
Put two suitably sized screwdrivers in from the back, held in one hand
then use the other hand to twist off the outer. If that doesnt work, very gently heat the whole thing very slightly, then keep trying to undo it as it cools.
Thanks for all of your advice on this.
Just one more thing, Should I double up the third core with the armour or do I need not bother ?
Doubling up seems the better option to me.
Am I right in thinking the third core, used as earth should be kept separate from the armour at the container side ? So the armour is connected to the container and to the earth in the house c.u, but not to earth in the container c.u ?
Thats what I thought to use. Then thought there might be some braided stuff that will withstand fatigue better. I have seen some somewhere but not sure where or on what.
Cheers.
Total distance would be no more than 12m.
If I did it this way I assume I wold not need to use 3 core ?
Should I still use the swa armor as earth ?
How should the main bonding be installed ?
Surely this would be the most ecenomical solution.
Cheers.
I did read that article and worked out 2.5 was ok. Obviously I went wrong somewhere.
I also underestimated how much power I might use I think.
Cheers for all the reply's from everyone btw, very helpful.
