    All you will drain is the rads not the pipework on the boiler, water will nto run uphill sadly :) Remember, if the pipes go up, then level out then drop only the pipes in the drop will drain.

    :lol: no strangely enough i don`t, however in this instance there is a false wall with access to the back, so a tap connector is the best method to do this particular job.

    put the tap connector on first then fix the shower to the wall, have enough pipe to run through to the other side to fix the rest, simple.

    A drop is were the pipes drop down from the ceiling, so if your boiler has its pipes going up int othe ceiling then all that if feeds will be other drops, as draining your boiler will nto drain your rads for instance.

    Does the fitting not have a male threaded end on it? just use a tap connector it is the easiest solution mate.

    you can use pushfit tap connectors. it does not matter if the connectors poke through, just use pipeclips as normal to hold all pipework in place.

    Get some 15mm tap connectors solder some pipe to it so they will go through the hole, stick them on your shower then fix your shower to the wall. job done.

    If the pipework runs from the boiler straight up into the ceiling then yes, have one on the boiler. If the pipe work drops and there is a rad nearby one on there would be fine.

    Repairing the joists would not be to difficult, but it would of course cost you so with hold payment from the origanel installer till you see how much the repairs will cost. Also ask him, why is the final bill more than his origanel price? If he was going over what he priced then he should have...

    Check the fuse on the socket were it is connected to the mains, sounds like thats gone if you have zero power to the boiler.
