This is how you govern properly

Seems the increased tax revenue could be people offloading assets.

    Reform Policies

I'm sure I've mentioned it before but a mate of mine who had his own company had a system whereby if he received 50 CV's in the post applying for a job, he'd randomly pick out half of them and throw them in the bin. He reckoned it weeded out unlucky people.

    So about those tariffs...

And yet inflation stands at 2.4% I'm not disputing what the fed say, obviously 'some' of the tariffs are going to go to the end user, but how are they running an inflation rate significantly lower than ours. Higher prices equals inflation. Something doesn't add up.

Indentured White Servants Were Treated Worse than Black Slaves in the West Indies

White South Africans, who make up less than 9% of the population, still own the majority of private commercial agricultural land, with estimates placing this figure around 72%–78% as of 2017–2022. While land reform initiatives exist, the majority of farmland remains in white hands, a key...

Phew, I got away with it again!

I'd never be a vegetarian and on the whole I'm comfortable with farming animals for food. I'm just a bit of a baby when it comes to seeing the harsh reality of what's involved sometimes.

They still have the natural resources in abundance. Perhaps they're mis-managing them?

Phew, I got away with it again!

I did some work on a small farm some years ago and it coincided with when the younger cows were taken and loaded onto a lorry. The mother cows spent the rest of the day crying, and I mean really desperately crying, the noise was awful. It took me several days at least to get over it. Same...

That's how I remember steak being served donkeys years ago in steak houses, before the big chains like Beefeater arrived on the scene. The fat was almost as enjoyable as the meat.

    So about those tariffs...

Not as long as I suspect you think. The main challenge is infrastructure, building new factories etc. Components and spares are a mere trifle. In the main they're talking about repatriating manufacturing that only left a few years ago. For companies such as VW who have manufacturing already...

    So about those tariffs...

10% global tariff?, isn't that about 10% less than the 20% VAT we impose on everything that comes into our country? Unless I'm missing something, that sounds like a better deal than we offer other countries? No?

What have you been doing today?

I think GP's backed away from it because of the 'liability' issue, but then seeing private practices charge good money some have drifted back into it as a side hustle. Unfortunately the old girl who did mine has since died, dementia I believe.
