How to fix this dripping tap?

Hi guys, Just getting around to this again. Im confused (doesnt take much). Do I need: https://www.divapor.com/spares/kitchens/tap-cartridges/cda-tt41ni-traditional-monobloc-hot-cartridge-compatible-spare-xvtt41hc.php or...

Which way should these doors be hinged?

While Im here, can I ask your opinions on obscured glass for the WC window? To me, obscured glass has the old, 1980's granny bungalow feel to it. Im thinking, instead I will use some nice wooden venetian blinds. Or, after a while if I feel I really need to obscure the glass, get some of that...

Which way should these doors be hinged?

OK, decision made: Ive decided to just have one door opening inwards. Its the safer option, and solves a few other potential issues (encroaching on the garden steps, overkill for such a small space etc). Id rather have a single door and regret not having french doors than have french doors and...

Which way should these doors be hinged?

I had considered patio doors. Just seems 'odd' having a patio door as a main entrance. Perhaps thats just me. This started off as being a porch. But I dont haev a downstairs toilet (4 bedroom house). There nowhere downstairs for me to put a toilet, so having it in the porch seems logical. So -...

Which way should these doors be hinged?

Hmm, yeah, youre making me rethink this. Ive been so fixated on having french doors that I hadnt realised the ramifications. Perhaps a single door (fully glazed) and two wider windows either side. Perhaps I need to look on google images again and get some ideas.

Which way should these doors be hinged?

Indeed. I dont know if Im just making life difficult for myself. Having said that, in the summer, it will be lovely to have both door open. But, its hardly a big space inside. Ugh, I dont know what to do!

Which way should these doors be hinged?

It will be a main door that I open often. I know what you mean about double doors are often too narrow. I used to live in a house where you had to open both door to get in! With these new doors, each door leaf will be 70cm wide - which should be comfortably wide enough? Yes, it is more of a...

Which way should these doors be hinged?

Thanks so much @blup. Can I ask your reasoning for french doors out? Is it becuase its convention for french doors to open out? Can yuo clarify what you mean "wc in, unless space is at a premium"? (Apologies for the questions, Im sure youre right, I just need to know 'why' youre right ;p )

Which way should these doors be hinged?

Hi all, Im building a very very extension, to include a small porch and WC. Ive mocked something up in Photoshop: Elevations: Floor plan: This will be main entrance to the house. Should the french doors open outwards or inwards? Should the WC door open into the WC or outwards? Any...

How to remove polyfilla from dark wood?

Hi guys, Ive got an dark oak beam, but someone has managed to get pollyfilla (or some kind of filla) all over it. How best to remove it? Ive tried soaking/scrubbing with a sponge. It looks fine, but when it dries it goes back to white. I dont really want to sand it becuase its aged oak...

M3 Floodtec door wont lock from the outside

Hmm, I didnt do the 12 month service because - considering the amount it cost (£5k!) - I thought it would work for longer than 12 months. I did however make sure its free of grit and put petroleum jelly on the gaskets (as is recommended in their documentation). They did install them. I can...

M3 Floodtec door wont lock from the outside

Hi all I have a uPVC door (M3 Floodtec). It was installed 16 months ago (so just outside of their warrantee.... obviously). I cant lock it from the outside. The handle doesnt quite push up as far as it should; which means the key cant complete its final turn to lock it. So something is...

How to fix this dripping tap?

Hi guys This tap has started dripping. If I push the left tap hard to close it stops dripping (but soon starts again!). Presumably its the washer. How do I fix it? Do I need to turn the mains off? What washer size do you think? Many thanks for any advice.
