    (EDITED) best thing to do would be drill a hole thru the wall behind existing socket, take a 2.5mm² thru and add a FCU. then take a feed to each new socket ending at the last and dont forget this comes under part P of building regs

    i use F type for everything. much easier, and i have to do hardly anything to the end to prepare it (but then i use crimp type). for pulling out, its probably just as easy to pull outta screw fitting F tupe as a normal coax plug. cuttin wires in loft like you say is the best way to do it

    grease is mainly for the chuck. could be the clutch has worn too much?

    as already mentioned, DO NOT use until problem is fixed. depends how its gettin heated for the cause. if its the immersion, most have a removeable (without removing immersion) thermostat. fairly easy change. if its fully pumped or similar it could be the stat for this
