    you should be able to jump start ANY car. simply because instead of using your battery, your using another vehicles battery. easy way around the surge problem would be to make sure both engines are off and use thick leads. now if that does damage, then your car musnt need a battery to start....

    i know some modems and some phones are fussy, but we currently have 3 lines in my house. 2 are wired 1 way and the 3rd is different. and most jobs (sometimes test just outta curiosity for how its wired) all seem around 50/50. this is from both BT and telewest. and ive only ever had 1 person...

    if its the main line in you only need 2 cores. ususally both of the same colour. connect these to A and B or 1 and 2 (if only marked 1 or 2), or 2 and 5. doesnt really matter which way round. hopefully by damage to the end cores youll be able to tell which pair have been ripped from the terminals

    i put them with the lights. if they were seperate and the breaker trips, it might be months before you notice and restore mains power, but if its on the lights then it gets reconnected to the mains pretty damn quick

    anyone know where i can get f type crimp connectors for RG6? (and standard TV type aswell). have ordered some from CPC before that are suposed to be for RG6. the inside metal is the right size (the part that goes between the braid and the inside part) but the outside metal ring is far too big...
