    Pressure after boiler isolation

I once had a filler valve that had a leaky tap. I disconnected it and blanked it off using an old lock shield valve.

    Opinions on boiler upgrade plans?

My first Vaillant combi was great and so when it became EOL, I replaced it 12 years ago with an EcotecPlus and it’s been very unreliable. Heat exchanger, diverter valves and numerous flow sensors replaced. Not much fun when the 7 year warranty ran out although due to lack of reliability they...

    Powerflush or Magnacleanse?

It is catching particles but as the sensor was blocked I have decided that the full Magnacelanse is needed. This is more than putting X400/800 in and doing it myself (I did that four years ago) - https://adey.com/magnacleanse

    Powerflush or Magnacleanse?

OP updated to clarify. Although the boiler and radiators are only 12 years old the copper (15 & 22mm) pipe work is a mixture with come considerably older. The Magnacleanse is a heavy duty chemical clean (not just a case of putting X800 in and flushing which I did about 6 years ago) which I’m...

    Powerflush or Magnacleanse?

I need to get our system flushed. The radiators are not blocked and are all working fine but we had a sensor replaced (Vaillant F75fault) as it had black residue on it even though we had a Magnaclean fitted. About £500 for Magnacleanse and £800 for a Power flush, 10 rads, both plus vat. A lot...

Boiler replacement needed, advice on Vaillant models

After numerous faults over a ten year period with our EcotecPro I would be very hesitant about getting another Vaillant boiler. I’m not getting a vibe for a better alternative though.

    Vaillant F75 pressure sensor errors

Yes get that Yes get that Yes get that Happy to address the inconsistencies if you tell me what they are. My engineer is trusted and given me good advice. My options are power flush (he can’t do) or chemical flush (which he can do). Given there is already a magnetic filter in the system and...

    Vaillant F75 pressure sensor errors

My engineer can do a regular flush with X800 over two days but I’d need a specialist to do a power flush that’s going to cost £400 upwards. Hence asking here.

    Vaillant F75 pressure sensor errors

All sorted but I am going to get the system flushed. Do you recommend a power flush or flushing with Sentinel X800?

    Electricity tripped

Same happened to me a month ago and it hasn’t tripped since. It could be a spider between live/neutral/earth that died and no longer conducts electricity.
