    Vaillant F75 pressure sensor errors

Yes based on previous experience. System is clean with inhibitor and magnatec that is cleaned regularly but has very little particulates. We do have hard water that is known to cause F75 sensor faults. Later models sorted the issue out.

    Vaillant F75 pressure sensor errors

Pressure sensor needs replacement again after three F75 faults in a month. All cleared by using the ignition button but I’m getting to the stage where I may be simply replacing my pre-2010 Ecotec. A poor 10 year history of reliability - four pressure sensors, a heat exchanger, o rings and...

Replaced two Radiators, been told we now need to replace pipes feeding radiators…

So this is what I would do,,, Close the lock shield valve on every rad apart from the problem one. Starting with the downstairs rads open the LS valves one at a time just enough for them to warm up. Then move upstairs and repeat the procedure. Key thing is to only open the lock shield just...

    No Guinness for christmas

My original source was Beoir the Irish beer consumer group . It was then confirmed by our guide on a tour of the Dublin brewery that the beer is shipped in tanks to the Uk for kegging and that includes beer destined for the republic. I think the company prefer not to advertise this for obvious...

    No Guinness for christmas

All Guinness is brewed in Dublin. It then travels to London where is is put into kegs. Yes even the stuff drunk in Ireland has travelled to London!

    No Guinness for christmas

It’s marketing hype but there are far better stouts out there. Wye Valley Wholesome Stout and Fixed Wheel Blackheath Stout would be good places to start. For LA I recommend Big Drop Galactic.

    Adding inhibitor to radiator

A magnetic filter that sits inline of your return feed. DIY if you are ok with pipework. See https://www.amazon.co.uk/Magnaclean-189300-Magnetic-Filter-Black/dp/B003BNL8Z4

    Adding inhibitor to radiator

I'd recommend installing a magnatech. Not only does this protect your boiler and pipework, it makes installing inhibitor a breeze.

    POE CCTV recomendations

I have been running QVRPro with a Qnap NAS for a number of years and can recommend it. Reliable and it works well.

Replaced two Radiators, been told we now need to replace pipes feeding radiators…

Definitely worth experimenting with balancing. If you have a problematic rad, turn the lock shields down on every other rad to confirm it’s working and there isn’t a pipe issue or blockage. The gradually open the valves on each rad in turn just enough for them to heat up whilst maintaining a...

Radiator not heating but in pipe ROASTING!

Check the lockshield valve - you may need to open it. The TRV valve may be stuck. Repeatedly tap it with a mallet until it springs back up.

    Combi Boiler Heating Flow Temperature

I bought a thermostat that uses an external temperature sensor and heat curves to heat the house efficiently without having to worry about changing temperature settings on the boiler manually.

    Vaillant Ecotec pro 28

As Delta925 says this should have been handed to Vaillant to sort.

    Home CCTV question

I have been running QVRpro and two Amcrest Poe cameras for four years without any issues. The NAS is an investment but also provides file storage, including music and backup.

    CCTV set up

I bought Amcrest which are rebranded Duah. Very well built and reliable.

Valiant eco tec 637 plus fault f28

I’d get Vaillant out but check the condensate outlet first.

valiant eco tec 937 good or bad

My 8 year old Vaillant Ecotec has had numerous faults that have stopped it working and caused it to leak - pressure switches, heat exchanger, diverter valves and O rings. Stable for now though.

    Balancing rads

I have a downstairs double radiator that needs it lock shield fully open. Upstairs rads are only open enough to allow them to get hot. This approach works for my system.
