    Circulation pump replacement.

Ahhh damn, I had noticed that but thanks Struggling to find just a head for reasonable price, the ups3 is cheaper but would be a full pump change.

    Circulation pump replacement.

Removed bleed screw from both pumps today. CH pump runs on setting 2 with reasonable amount of pressure I can stop spinning with screwdriver, on setting 3 no chance so this looks ok, I think? HW circulation pump currently on setting 3 (due to cleaner in system and noise when boiler at max) ...

    Circulation pump replacement.

I did think that but thought I'd ask. I'll try and source a grundfos head if I need to otherwise a full pump change. Any advice on identifying failing pump, should it spin free by hand etc. I did read somewhere about removing the bleed screw and inserting a screwdriver, if pump can be stopped...

    Circulation pump replacement.

I've been having a few issues with my heating (covered in another thread ) currently circulating x400 around my system but when I drain and flush next week I'm going to take the opportunity to remove the head from my pump and check if it's ok, turning freely, nothing broken from impellor, play...

I know that it was just for ease of explanation. They where actually marked up as how water pump and central heating pump originally but the stickers came off with the heat.

Attached are images of my two pumps, pink/red ch circulation pump, blue thermal store circulation pump. Would the black pump ups3 15-50/65 be a replacement for either of my pumps if I find any issues. My issue only appears to be linked to the hw circ pump but asking about both anyway.

Ok yeah when I think about it if the boiler is noisey this will be emphasised by the pump? So sounds more boiler related than pump but I'll check them all the same.

Cheers again, I'll give that a look at. If it was pump related any idea why it goes quiet once upto temp? I have a couple of videos but can't seem to upload them, I've compressed them but still having problems.

Sorry to bother you but could I send you a video (somehow) with my boiler noise? Cleaner is in, cleaned filter yesterday small amount of sludge. Noise is obviously still there wasn't expecting it to go over night but when I drain it next I'm wondering if its worth chaging circ pump, if that's...

Will keep it in for 2 weeks, drain, refill and drain another 4 times, then refill plus 3 inhibitors, hopefully does the job otherwise I'm fooked! Thanks for all your...

Ah ok. When I looked at a parts list and exploded diagram thought it showed a pump? My mistake.

I'm guessing the pump your relating to is the pump in the boiler abs not the 2 at the tank.

    Flowmax 180 combination

Very informative cheers. I'll get another x400 tomorrow and put the 3 in for 2 weeks. The filter I already have is a salus mag defender it's a replacement for the current one as the valve started to drip when I last cleaned it. It was still under warranty so they sent a new one. I've had the...

ianmcd thanks for that, I totally agree with what you're saying, not that I'm any sort of expert my bit of knowledge is just through research and help from people like you. I need to replace the magnetic filter anyway so thought it may be good opportunity to put the cleaner through, I've never...
