Moving a toilet approx 10inches to the left

Bear in mind, sometimes when putting waste pipes from bath and sink into one you get syphoning. gurgling noises from one or other traps when water is pulled from the trap seal, causing smells etc. Easily overcome by anti vac traps etc.

bathroom drain weld vs pushfit vs compression

Try and put in an access tee with removable plug (externally), so you can flush out pipe run later on with hose/bamboo stick.

How would I block up a bath overflow?

The tiling and everything looks good, therefore are you sure the tiler has not secretly incorporated an access panel to get under the bath. I'm sure you've looked, any cracking in vertical grout? Or has an access hatch been put in other side of wall, taps are on! Or is that the outside wall onto...

    Drain Smell Problems

Yes it will. A couple of antivac bottle traps would have done the job as well. The washing machine/dishwasher discharging will no doubt push the stale smell from pipe back towards the sink plug hole

    Drain Smell Problems

    Or perhaps two bottle traps.

    Drain Smell Problems

There appears to be a lot of pipe work from the plug holes in the sinks to the 'U' bend. All that pipe work will smell and the smell will vent up through the plug hole. I think you will need to get the 'U' bend directly under the plugs some how, to form a water seal!

    Preventitive maintanance

At least S C Johnson & Son Inc. will be happy, they make the stuff. Complete waste of time IMHO, youve done the preventative bit by doing the access eyes, leave it at that! :D

    Toilet to Soil pipe problem

Hire some pipe cutters, http://www.tradecounterdirect.com/hand-tools/pipe-cutters/gripper-plus-pipe-cutter-cuts_size.html a lot less messy and dangerous than using a disc cutter. Still quite hard to do but a sharp cutter will go through the cast irn.

    Bath size

You can buy 1400, 1500, 1675, 1685 and 1700mm baths. If you cut back the plaster both ends, as leakydave suggests, the taps are hard up against the tiles, also at the other end, your head hits the wall when lying down :( Look around decent plumb merchants and you will find them. Look...

upvc external french doors from wickes

My existing brick to brick width opening size is 1620mm. Height 1090mm. Wickes French doors are 1490mm x 1090mm. Allowing 5mm each side to the wickes door frame = 1500mm. Therefore 1620mm less 1500mm = 120mm divide 2 = 60mm short on both sides. My question being, can I fill...

    Walk in shower without tray

I installed a wet room upstairs on wooden floor as you are contemplating with this aqua dec and used clear glass blocks as a screen. The dec is quite a job to do and the glass blocks have to be laid with 'wet' mortar. The blocks are also reinforced with metal rods up through the vertical...

    Insulating inaccessible pipes...

As long as you don't insulate it so well, no heat from the room gets to it. Probably the only reason that you have never had a problem, is because heat from the room is escaping into the area the pipes are located :( If that makes sense.

Boiler not heating enough Hot Water

Do you have a thermostat on the hot water cylinder, located 1/4 way up from the floor. If so it may have been turned down a few degrees. This would make the boiler cut out earlier not heating your water to the temperature you had before!

Help!!! No heating after changing rad valve

If you have bled air from all places you can, ie all other rads, perhaps a bleed valve in airing cupboard and the pump bleed screw, perhaps you should drain off some water from the rad valves where you have taken off the radiator. Open each valve and catch the water in a bucket, may be an air...
