Thanks for your mature response.... :roll: I was asking a relevent quesiton about the Divertor Valve, and whether it can be resolved by DIY or NOT as I'm not an expert! And whether it was worth replacing the old 280 with a newer combi, as other parts might go costing more £££ Is this not...

I've been in my house for nearly 2 years without any problems with the boiler until a few weeks ago....... Me and the Mrs went out one morning, but before we left the heating was working fine but obviously we turned it off as we were going to be out for a few hours so set it back to "Water"...
