Exactly the same thing happened to me. To be fair to your service engineer, the sensor seemed to have disintegrated. It wasn't a brute force issue, at least in my case - honest! I have been trying to get the 8-716-120-633-0 part. No chance. I'll try the screwdriver trick.

OK, I admit to the occasional wry smile at this thread. This was only a temporary fix in my case. Eventually my machine needed new brushes. Cheers Bill

I just fixed this problem on my WFL2000. Find the wiring loom to the motor from underneath. Carefully cut the cable tie holding the wires and plastic protective sheet. Remove and re-seat the wiring multiplug and the earth spade connector on the motor. I didn't use any contact cleaner, just...
