thank you all for your advice. Got in touch with transco and they sent someone out. Pressure was lower than should be but main problem was a faulty gas cut-out on the cooker. The low pressure on the gas fire was coincidental to this happening!

First noticed when turning on the cooker that the gas pressure was low. Tried gas fire and found it to also be low and the flame was blue. Any ideas?
