    Central Heating Problems... Diagnosis Required!

Checked that again - definitely 90v on orange and white when neither is calling (but power is on), and the orange is disconnected. Reconnect the orange and both orange and white drop to zero - presumably because the orange is now "earthing" through one of the other connections (though not sure...

    Central Heating Problems... Diagnosis Required!

I'll check it again this evening. What you say makes sense, I guess the only way there could be voltage in the white would be if it is somehow linked to the orange (identical voltages)... I guess that would be a sign of a knackered actuator?

    Central Heating Problems... Diagnosis Required!

OK, so that's about what I'm getting (plus the same on white for some reason!). Why is there any voltage in the orange under these circumstances?

    Central Heating Problems... Diagnosis Required!

Thanks D_Hailsham... Yes, by "Neither" I meant just turning off both CH and HW on the control panel. I'll try following your suggestions when I get home - I do know that the lever is floppy pretty much all the time (if not all!), so maybe this is the issue. Do you know what those...

    Central Heating Problems... Diagnosis Required!

Thanks JackThom, will do just that. Glad to know that you can replace the actuator head without having to start messing with the plumbing (which would be beyond me!)

Would that mean the valve will need replacing?

    Central Heating Problems... Diagnosis Required!

Hi All, Got a bit of an intermitent problem with our central heating - having read up quite a bit on here and elsewhere I keep changing to mind as to the likely culprit, so thought I'd see if any of the eperts in here could advise... The heating seems to work fine every morning - comes on...

Glow Worm Space Saver MkII - Pilot Light Problem

Thanks Tony! Can you clarify the overheating issue... do you mean its likely that it's actually overheating, or the o/h stat is faulty? If it's the former, presumably this requires some proper professional attention, but if the latter can the o/h stat be changed easily? I'm not 100%...

Glow Worm Space Saver MkII - Pilot Light Problem

Hi, I have a Glow Worm Space Saver MkII, and recently the pilot light has started going out intermittently. I've read through some posts with similar problems, and had a good look at my boiler, but have been unable to isolate the issue, so could do with some advice... Firstly, they...
