Thanks guys. Problem system is at mum in laws. Got it running yesterday. Probably only in over ride. I put new batteries in the stat and tried syncing a few times. Saw green light on some attempts but not all. Will be a few days before I can get back to recheck.

Thanks DP. Perhaps you can expand. If there is no green light does this mean I need a new RX1? I have already tried re syncing the thermostat.
