    hi o/p you state that the shower is mcb and rcd protected, is the rcd the actual mains switch and rated at 30ma if so, then your mcbs are fed via a rcd and you should be ok, if not you will have to bond the bath.

    thanks, but seriously the faults i find while doing tests is mind boggling, spurring off sockets directly to wall lights is one, and my pet hate, we have a decent home build, and i find instead of a cooker outlet they have wired in a 3 pin single gang socket direct to the 6mm cable.

    hi o/p is 1600+ a bit much, i may be reading your post wrong and i do applogise if so , but i thought for value zs on a 32amp type B mcb/rcbo is 1,44. again sorry if iam reading your post wrong.

    deffo a crossed line some where. did you do the 3 stage ringmain test, ie r1 rn r2 then ri/r2 crossover, that would have deternined if you had a "ring" or a cross over. did you then meggar the cables, domestic voltage at 230v so a reading of 500 megg ohms would indicate perfection all the way...

    yes, from the rinse board/sink/ nearest water tap you have to allow 300mm, but i would not reccomend putting your c/u 300mm from the water supply. also will the c/u be protected ie boxed in?
