Thanks a million, and oddly enough, I haven't missed out a 0, if you magnify the picture they show of the gas valve it has no 0 in it. Strange... Sadly they're in bristol :( Anybody got one closer? At least I know it still exists :) Cheers

BTW. I am skint sadly, plus I can't really afford a new central heating system as I'm told they tend to be wall hung, and there is literally no new place to hang it to vent outside unless I remodel the whole damn bungalow! lol I am open to suggestions if anybody can recommend the same style...

Lol yep, i am blind! Sorry! It looks the same, but is it the same i.e. the one with a catalogue number: UB57R1BB224? Anybody know the 'modern' serial number for this part? Googling that number seems to come up with void results :(

No sorry, its a blue control knob, don't know the colour of the wires; apparently its a Maclaren make, just to add to the confusion of various brands. Do you know anywhere I might be able to get the valve?
