Ok thanks I will check and try that, I assume the engineer checked that when he came as he tried to eliminate what he could. His theory was heat exchanger leaking or expansion vessel blocked. If definitely improved after clearing the blockage but it built back up again after a week.

It rises a little maybe 0.5 bar but I haven’t actively checked the pipe, there doesn’t seem anywhere else it could be leaking though. All rads and connections are fine and I would know if it was behind a wall the amount that has been lost

Nothing that I can see as yet but look to be a few other fittings where sludge could build up, I think the expansion vessel is probably the worst. The pressure keeps dropping as it’s going out through condensate pipe… I think

Right - fixed, It was the heat sensor (thermistor) £15 to replace from my local plumbers merchants. Replaced that and it fired right up. Thanks for the suggestions and help!

Right, was confusing the primary flow switch for a min, I'm not sure if this is working then without taking another look later today. I have a friend coming round who knows a bit about boilers and reckons he might be able to help me. Will check the sensor as well. Cheers guys

I'm not sure it is either a Riva or Prisma, it just says Biasi 24s..... The sliding switch appears to be working correctly, when switched off the green light goes off and in constant or timed mode it activates the diverter valve correctly for CH. This has not been moved or changed recently...
