Sorry Guys - i've been a complete Di*ck!! Re-checked the wiring when i got home and a few things to note: 1) Wiring colouring is the new style - Brown and Blue 2) There are actually 3 wires into the switch; 2 Brown into the COM and 1 Brown into L1 - the others are still choc blocked.
