Cheers Cowley. I've got the book so I may give that a go. I've tried repairing the battery points temporarily with foil, but at the moment can't get the points to be strong enough, so the thermostat keeps dropping in and out. If I can't get the connection up then the wiring option it is!

Hi, Our Worcester Bosch DT20RF thermostat was dropped this morning and the battery points have broken off. It works with a Greenstar 42CDi. I'm guessing that I will need to buy a new thermostat to link with the control unit (any thoughts on the best one, or does it have to be the same?)...
