The fact that I was able to work my way through systematically and discover the problem whilst checking everything as I went, on top of the several years of training means I am more than confident about the safety of the shower. But I do appreciate your concern :wink:

Sorted now school boy error had wire to trip switch going to rcd and vice versa. :oops:

Yep its all tight given wires a pull, good contact to wire not insulation.

i've checked all the connections again everything seems fine. I thought the same thing I've tried a different switch that one only flashes a little when switched on. any other suggestions? the light that comes on is quite dim not sure if that helps.

Strange problem this though I'm probably missing something obvious. The light on the switch is on, but when shower is turned on the shower will not start and the light goes off. Any ideas much appreciated.
