unable to re fill system after drain down (worcester 24cdi)

Is this some kind of airlock ? I had some trouble yesterday refilling mine - it took a long time. I manage to speed it up by bleeding radiator to let air escaping. I realised that I have a aerject valve that seem to slow down the refilling process. Bertrand

    Pump always on !

Hello, After some acrobatic exercises, I managed to follow the pump and boiler wires: The pump is not connected directly to the boiler but to a white box well hidden (not accessible unless I cut another bit of floorboard). It looks like the wire from programmer is going to this white box...

    Pump always on !

Thanks for your fast replies. The boiler is called "Ideal Mexico". I know that has been a reccurent problem with the motorised valve stuck and the CH system not switching on - I feel that the problem is now reversed ! The system is old and I don't think it has ever been cleaned before and...

What is my system: closed or open ?

Thanks for the quick reply. But if the feed pipe were blocked I would have an empty system at present (or at least partially) ? I did drain it while the main water supply was off, but it refilled as soon as I turned on the water supply again. And the cold water tank in the attic did not...

What is my system: closed or open ?

Hi There, My radiators are not very efficient and I suspect that the GCH system is full of sludge and/or air and need to be flushed and/or treated. The boiler is Ideal Mexico type and I have 2 cold-water tanks in the attic one for the hot water tank and another one for ... I thought the...
