    It is on all the internal walls including 2 chimney breast walls and even the wall under the staircase, I have had the whole ground floor plaster boarded and skimmed. Do you still think its a damp issue?

    Dulux Satinwood is great, its oil based and covers really well, you will only need a small tin aswell, it lasts for ages.

    Peter you were correct, the patched areas are solid sounding when knocking them and the other areas are hollow.
