Assumption is the mother of all f ups.... It sounds like you need an upgrade on the pipework. Also the next engineer who comes could find a 1.1mb or higher drop on pipework and shut it off. That could be middle of next winter. Couple of days without boiler..... Brrrrrrrr.

Look under the boiler, toward the right hand side there should be a blue handle. Is it in line with the pipe or diagonally?

It sounds like the temp knob is set wrong but it could be a faulty board from supplier. It can happen.

Blockage in boiler or probably the cold iso valve is closed too much. It is usuall closed slightly to regulate the flow through the boiler.

Joe just bog of will u or this will be another post u have ruined! For clarity, if you were to turn temp knob to max it runs to 50? Have you tried turning it down slightly (10%) to see if it then goes to 40?

Firstly I would imagine the blowers would have a connection for the room stat. So the 2 ports probably not required? Next I would put 2 smaller boilers in cascade with low loss header etc. and your pipe sizing is way off. Min 35mm up to 2nd heater.... It's a little far for me but if price was...

Re chem flush. If existing system is running then I just put it in a couple of days before, if not I would either set up a pump to run round permenantly or if I had to I would put it in as I filled up and drain it out and put inhib next day or 2.

I did a swap last week same boiler. Reused existing per plumbing jig, meter below boiler 2 mtr 22mm gas changed flue (just to be safe) trvs on rads already and fitted rf prog room stat. Quick flush :wink: And chems in all good. Every so often you get a break.
