So it look like I have a earth problem then. If the guy said he cant get 230v from live 2 earth. I think that is what he said. But also he said about 24v on earth at times.

Hi sorry just at work. Will take the pics to night. The guy is just a sole trader. Thats why he said about bc sign it off. I just cant pay for a rewire but need the eletrics safe. I have been done in the past and just hope not now. I really am glad of the help

I paid because he fitted a lintal. I understand the problem should of been picked up befor. What will the next guy I get in say will it be a full rewire or just the earth wire changing.

He said building control can sign it off when done. So when I get some one else in what should he say needs doing. And he will not try and make a bigger job out of it. Thanks for all the help. Just hope some can sort it out

It was a young lad and he dident really no and has left me with this so I'm trying to work out what is wrong so I can get some 1 in and I know what needs doing and there not making a bigger job Thank you for your help.

The bc are coming offer the job to test. I think it's missing earth but then I don't get why there is reversed and it's not coming up with missing earth

The sockets work but the tester says reversed neutral. And the water heater will trp off then it's turned on it's a new board with rcd. Thank u so much for the help

In volts. Iv got 230 live neutral. Nothing on the earth to live and some volts On the earth to neutral. It's all ok at the main fuse. It's just when it get to the Cu. thank you for helping

can some one help please iv got no reading on the main incoming live to earth but have a small reading on the neutral to earth, thanks
