Thank you for your ideas. I had ducting, inline fans, thermostats in mind. I just wondered if a company in this country had come up with an off the shelf system - I'm sure it would be a success.

Had something a little more high tech in mind

Can anyone recommend a system for transferring heat from upstairs in the house back downstairs? I have a stove which throws out amazing heat but as house is open plan, the warmth ends up upstairs. I was hoping there would be a way of getting the heat back down into the cooler rooms downstairs...
