    Concealed Shower Valve help

Took the top valve off, think it’s called a diverter. Washer looks fine but I think the leak is happening via the white insert. I can’t seem to find this online though.

    Concealed Shower Valve help

Yes I think you’re right. Definitely looks the same on the outside, although I think mine looks different behind the chrome, maybe an older model

    Concealed Shower Valve help

It’s been a few years for me installing shower valves, but I’ve got two in my new house which are dripping through the main head. I think I need to replace the cartridge but want to double check first with some pictures to identify the potential fix and brand for parts. I’ve tightened it as far...

    Consumer unit tripping

Sorry I'm a bit confused here. What your saying is all diy'er's should not do electrical installations? I came onto this forum as there are many diy'er's and many advising them how to progress certain projects. Fair enough I did not do an IR test and still would be able to do one, but it...

    Consumer unit tripping

When I installed it a few years ago there was no testing as it worked a treat first go. Last night was the first problem I've ever had. No I have no idea how to do an IR test, or a test kit. Should I be looking to get someone in to do it?

    Consumer unit tripping

Hi Deadshort no damp, or lights etc.. but I will switch off the cu to understand the fault better. Pretty certain the SWA is good. but to be honest I am assuming nothing at the moment until it's fixed

    Consumer unit tripping

Hi AndyPRK, no rain or fog at all, but there is not external connection to bother it anyway.

    Consumer unit tripping

So first thanks to all of the responses I really appreciate it. Ban all sheds, love the name, I am certainly thinking of it now I can tell you!! The answer here is no. Good point and yes they are. No but I will if it happens again. can't believe I didn't think of that, maybe...

    Consumer unit tripping

Ok so last night at bedish time the main consumer unit trips (well happy  ) So after a process of elimination it turns out to be the summerhouse switch. Good news was I could put the rest of the house back on, as after many attempts to get it restarted it kept tripping maybe 10 to 15...

Nest Thermostat with Vaillant EcoTec Plus 837

How do I wire up my combi boiler to the nest heatlink? I have attached sections from the installation guide of my Vaillant. I've highlighted the section where I think the 2 and 3 cables go, what do you think? Also thinking that I will run a cable from the mains fused power supply...

    Cold Deck Roof

OK an update. After a few meetings and conversations with the builder and planner I think we've made some headroom. Firstly I've managed to look get every part of the PIR foam pulled down to the plaster ceiling through the spot lights. It did take some time but worked out well. So now...

    Cold Deck Roof

I see what your saying about the moisture and maybe it's just me thinking after a 40k conversion there's not much left in the pot for a pack of biscuits let alone the a new roof!!! So do you think the BC would go for venting front and back even though the PIR is pushed up to the roof and not...

    Cold Deck Roof

Really useful reply's here thanks. I think the thing for me really is knowing to what scale my rights are. If the regularisation doesn't go through, what does that then mean, invalid home insurance, council tax etc. I also wonder if I can get some kind of spray foam insulation to fill the gaps?
