if the heat exchanger was blocked would this not affect the flow of water at the tap ? theres no problem at all with the flow of water. its as if the tap water is getting too hot and the boiler shuts down till its cooled slightly and then starts up again it does this repeatedly.

pardon my ignorance but how come only the dhw is affected by the scale and not the central heating ?regards, tim.

ok , thanks for that will try like you said and if not will try a new valve. any ideas as to whythe hot water works ok then keeps going cold for about 10 secs then fires up again and so on ? thanks again, tim

so i need a new safety release valve ?

just checked and the safety relief valve seems to be leaking all the time small amounts !

if i fill it to 1.5 bar as soon as it fires up it drops to 1.4 bar then gradually rises to no more than 1.8 bar till boiler reaches set temp then drops very slightly till boiler fires up again.

hi, after the boilers been running i turn it off for the night and the pressure drops to zero overnight, it wont start up again till ive filled it back up again with the filling loop , once its running its ok ,its only when i turn it off that it gradually drops, this happens every day ! thanks, tim

the pressure drops overnight to zero when the boilers not in use , its ok when its running. ravenheat c85t condensing boiler , also which is a different issue the hot water goes cold for approx 10 secs then comes back warm again repeatedly , any help appreciated , tim.

have swapped both dhw /ch thermistors now appears to be working fine , thanks for your input. tim. :D :D

pulled the thermistor wire, boiler wont run at all with plug removed , but once i've removed then replaced plug boiler seems to work ok ! ie its stops cutting out (till its not been used over night then its back to not working again ) as if something is being reset .

as sods law will have it its working ok at the moment ! seems to work fine after the central heatings been on , but if left while were out at work fails then. will try the thermistor wire tonight, thanks.

had it nearly 4 years only one prob (kept blowing fuses ) circuit board replaced under warranty, till now. when hot tap turned on boiler fires up as normal starts warming water then after about 40 secs trips out. its fine when the central heating is on . but sometimes its ok ! anyone help been...

just over 12 months !

tried to switch boiler on found the main green power light off , had a quick look & found 2 amp fuse blown , fit new fuse lights up as soon as you turn on tap or try ch fuse blows again after only a couple of seconds , before i ring the plumber anything obvious to check for , any help appreciated.
